Belek, a paradise of flowers

Turkey can be considered as a large and beautiful botanical garden having 9000 different plant species. Especially, Antalya and its environment is known as a Plant Paradise, not yet discovered. Thus out of 600 plant species, endemic of the Mediterranean Area, 500 species grow in Antalya and its environment. Additionally, according to the botanical studies there are 118 valuable plant species, exist in Belek and more than 40 of which is peculiar to Belek only. Also, 6 plant species grow only in Antalya.

BETUYAB authorities, taking into consideration the works carried on by the tourism organizations about environmental consciousness, are expecting the tourists visiting turkey to be more conscious about the environment. This consciousness is considered to be very important by the International environmentalists, and between 1995-1996 with the support provided by the World Bank and the governmental organizations “Belek Beach Management Plan” was prepared. This plan requires the protection and the development of the natural and cultural environment.

BETUYAB is working to protect hundreds of species of plant, to develop Belek and to continue the nature and natural life of it.

Belek, a paradise for birds

Today, gradually increasing urbanizization, difficult living conditions in these environments, decreasing green areas in cities and similar locations have called for a change not only in social life but also in tourism activities. The change is towards a search for recreation activities in the natural environments. This new tendency is called ecotourism and calls for a run away from the disturbance of the crowded cities. It encompasses leisure activities and relaxation in nature and also active vacationing in the natural environments. Turkey, with specific terrain features, mild climate, and natural species, exhibits a magnificent opportunity for such activities.  Particularly Belek, with its nature and modern tourism facilities, is the most convenient district for Ecotourism with its protected natural splendor. On the other hand, Mediterranean climate allows the breeding of different species and brings about an increase in their variety and numbers. Studies made by the International Environmental Organizations indicate that there are 38 species of mammals and almost 100 species of birds existing in Belek. This district also allows conducting ornithological surveys-the scientific study of birds. With these studies, it becomes possible for many bird species to live and breed in Belek. Belek Tourism Center actively continues to study and classify all species of birds existing in this district.

Golf Academy Facilities for Beginners

Belek, a district where golf clubs of Turkey equipped with international standards are offering their services to enlarge golf community and to increase the number of golfers and golf fans, combining magnificient nature, sea and pine forests with the liveliness of golf sport. In this region, the warmth of the sun is felt throughout the year, for no less than 300 days, consequently the climate, as well as winter, is always mild all the year round. This mild weather and constant liveliness of nature is very much admired by the golfers visiting Belek from all over the world.

Golf clubs in Antalya/Belek incorporate in their structure also "Golf Academies" where training, at various options covering golf lessons from 30 minutes to a week long program, is being provided to beginners as well as skilled golf players. Trainees and golfers benefit from the unlimited use of all possibilities and facilities of the clubs, including unlimited lessons, use of perfect golf courses and training fields.

Tat Golf Belek International Golf Club is now opening the doors of its courses of 27 holtes to international tournaments. Club, covering an area of 110 hectares, is designed by the United Kingdom holf course architects in harmony with the natural paradise beauty of Belek. In the planning of the facility, specifications demanded particularly by the European golfers are taken into consideration as standard. Tatgof Belek offers championships of 9 holes to be arranged with 3 alternatives and also the possibility of alternate 18 holes. To allow the golf fans to perceive the length of the course, when they are playing the rounds of golf of 9, 18 or 27 holes in company with the incredible scenery, golf paths are deliberately extended along the beach. On the other hand, spectacular location of Tatgolf Belek, extending between Taurus mountains and the Mediterranean, is directly affecting the rate of preference of it. In the facility, there are golf course of 27 holes, fairway, 2 pitch bunkers, 2 putting greens etc. Besides, lessons for individuals, groups, German and English golf lessons are available.

Located in the resort area of Belek, on the Mediterranean coast. The club is 25 minutes drive from Antalya International Airport and 40 km. from the ancient city Antalya. National Golf Club is built in landscaped gardens and is surrounded by pine and Eucalyptus forests. The British styled Club house has a peaceful atmosphere and panoramic views of the golf course.

Playing golf in a spectacular field is always enthusiastic. however, playing in two spectacular fields is stimulating.
